Lora Knicely Walters
Lora Knicely Walters, 70, of Rt. 2, Bunker Hill, died Thursday morning in City Hospital on Sept 19, 1985.
Born April 3, 1915, in Edinburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late Louie Percy and Louise Riddleberger Knicely.
She lived in Washington, D.C. and Arlington County, Va. from 1935 to 1968 when she returned to the area. She attended the Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, John Douglas Walters, at home, whom she married May 19, 1954; a brother, Alfred Knicely, 908 N. Third St.; two sisters, Martha Grove, 911 W. Addition St. and Ella K. Speight, Baltimore, Md. and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis H., Walter R., Ralph F. and Percy C. Knicely and two sisters, Lillian K. Voorhees and Doris K. Byrum.
Services will be Saturday, 2:30 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Forbes officiating. Burial in the Tuscarora Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight, 7-9.
