C. Scott Shade

Obituary February 16, 1985

Shade, C. Scott “Bud,” 79 Showers Lane, died Friday morning in City Hospital.

Born April 11, 1905, in Frederick County, Va., he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Agnes M. Bennett Shade.

He retired in 1979 as owner-operator of S&S Motor Parts; was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife Elizabeth Cather Shade, at home, whom he married Dec. 18, 1960, and two sisters, Dorothy Russell and Cardell Fletcher, both of Winchester.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday from the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Forbes officiating. Burial in the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday, 4-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, c/o Mrs. Willis Roberson, Rt. 1, Box 133 M, Martinsburg.

Shade Services

Services for C. Scott “Bud” Shade, of Showers Lane, who died Friday in City Hospital, were conducted Sunday, 2 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Forbes and the Rev. David Coffey officiating. Burial in Tuscarora Presbyterian Cemetery.

Honorary bearers were Dan Harman, Walter Ridenour, G. Francis Caton, Daniel T. Burkhart, Fred Hess and Dr. William R McCune.

Active bearers were Paul Stuckey, Harry Zimmerman, Charles Ritter, Willis Roberson, Roger Young, George Fleming, Marvin Mason and Bill Rapp.
