Lottie Lee Omps Sencindiver
Obituary – Wednesday, September 7, 1988
SENCINDIVER, LOTTIE LEE OMPS, 91, of 2090 Tavern Road, Martinsburg, died Tuesday
morning at City Hospital.
Born March 20, 1897, in Whitacre, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late
George A. J. and Mary Puffenburger Omps.
Mr. and Mrs. Sencindiver operated the Sencindiver Rest Home on Poor House Road.
She was a member of the Salme United Methodist Church in Whitacre, Virginia.
Surviving are two sons, Paul J. Sencindiver of Dry Run Road; Garland M.
Sencindiver of Tuscarora Road; three sisters, Nelia Brenner of Zepher Hills,
Fla.; Minnie Cupp of Winchester, Va.; Georgie Campbell of Sperryville, Va.; 12
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter M. Sencindiver on Oct. 27,
1972; a son, Harold A. Sencindiver, one brother and three sisters.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with
the Rev. Richard A. Forbes Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Tuscarora
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7-9 p.m.
