Blanche Miller Noll
Mrs. Blanche Miller Noll, 89, widow of Obed C. Noll, died at her
home on Tuscarora Road Friday morning, after an extended illness.
Born in Berkeley County March 21, 1887, she was a daughter of the late James W.
Miller and Annie Rebecca McDonald Miller Kerns.
Mrs. Noll was an active and faithful member of Tuscarora Presbyterian Church,
the Women of the Church, a former Sunday School teacher and an active leader in
the Christian Endeavor.
Her husband, well-known farmer in the county and long-time member and former
president of the Berkeley County Court, preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1957.
Surviving are four sons, Ned M. Noll, Obed (Sammy) Noll, Jr., and Lyle W. Noll,
all of Tuscarora Road, and Robert L. Noll, Ridge Road; six grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; one brother, David P. Miller, 529 West King street; two
sisters, Mrs. Charles (Fan) Wyatt, and Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Hawes, both of
Winchester, Va., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Two sons, Max and Cecil Noll, one brother, Charles W. Miller, and two sisters,
Mrs. Bessie Slonaker and Mrs. Julia Ramsburg, preceded her in death.
Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home by her
pastor, the Rev. William Jarrett, with interment in Tuscarora Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday from 7
to 9 p.m. and suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to the
Tuscarora Presbyterian Church.
