Obituary – Wednesday, January 11, 1989
KIEF, CHESTINA HAYSLETT “TINY”, 70, of 1204 West Virginia Ave., died early
Monday afternoon at 531 Lincoln Drive.
Born Sept. 24, 1918, in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late
Russell and Margaret Milburn Hayslett.
She was a member of the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church and a member of the Women
of the Church.
Surviving are one brother, Charles C. Hayslett of Fairfax, Va.; a niece; a
nephew; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin F. Kief, who died Oct. 8, 1987;
and one brother, Guy M. Hayslett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kogelschatz Funeral
Home with the Rev. Richard Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Tuscarora
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening 7 to 9
p.m.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, c/o

Funeral services for Chestina “Tiny” Hayslett Kief, of 1204 West Virginia Ave.,
who died Monday at 531 Lincoln Drive, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the
Kogelschatz Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Forbes Jr. officiating. Burial
was in the Tuscarora Cemetery.
Bearers were Harold Cushwa, David Catrow, Roger Young, Willis Roberson, Charles
Russler, and Johnathan Brown.
