Jane C. Canby Bovey
Jane Carlene (Canby) Bovey, 66, wife of Leon Bovey Jr., of Martinsburg, died Friday in City Hospital.
She was the daughter of Ada (Stum) Canby and the late Dayton James Canby.
She was an active member of Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, a member and officer of the Presbyterian Women and a volunteer with Meals on Wheeks.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School, Class of 1947, and had remained an active member of the class.
She was employed by Thorn Lumber Company from 1947-1959 and 1963-67; Berkeley Gas Company from 1967-69; Shenandoah Oil Company from 1969-1983; and Martinsburg Printing Company from 1986-1992.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her husband of 46 years, N. Leon Bovey of Martinsburg; one daughter, Lisa Bovey of Martinsburg; one brother, Roy JamesCanby and his wife, Dixie, of Johnstown, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Tuscarora Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Bruce McClendon, Tom Forbes, John Cushwa and John Roush officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
