Obituary – February 15, 1982
BAILEY, CHARLES GRADY, 60, Rt. 2, Bunker Hill, died Saturday evening at Camp
Fellowship, near Johnsontown.
Born Feb. 20, 1921, in Burnsville, N.C., he was a son of the late Andrew and
Hannah Bradley Bailey.
He was the owner and director of Camp Fellowship.
Surviving are: his wife, Laura Elizabeth Catrow Bailey, at the home; four
children by a previous marriage, David G. Bailey, Elma, Washington, Charles D.
Bailey, Winchester, Mrs. Richard K. (Carolyn) Shumaker, and Mrs. Lynn (Connie)
Foltz, both of Berryville; three step-children, James Smith, Mrs. Gary (Wanda)
Miller, and Mrs. Elis (Ann) Hess, all of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; two
brothers, Edward Bailey, North Carolina, and Cleo Bailey, Florida; four sisters,
Mrs. Rosa Heath and Mrs. Fannie Watts, North Carolina, Mrs. Gladys Biddle,
Maryland and Mrs. Lula Edwards, Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home with the
Rev. Donald Evans officiating with burial in the Tuscarora Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home tonight, 7-9 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial remembrances take the form of contributions to
the Children of India Fund in Care of Faith Tabernacle, Gerrardstown, W.Va.

Services for Charles G. Bailey, of Rt. 2, Bunker Hill, who died Saturday at Camp
Fellowship, near Johnsontown, were conducted Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. from the Brown
Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Evans officiating with burial in the Tuscarora
Cemetery.
Bearers were: Spencer Marpole, Tim Neely, Harold Hess, Paul Naselrodt, Nelson
Kane, and Lyle Noll.
